Queer Liverpool Round-Up // August 2019
We’re a little late to the game this month, but who can blame us, we’re still recovering from Pride in Liverpool weekend.
Thanks so much to the 100+ gorgeous queers who marched with us and to all of you who attended our Punk Pride event at Lovelocks Coffee Shop. Liverpool Pride is over but we’re queer all year.
So here’s your run down of the best non-scene LGBTQ+ friendly event in Liverpool this month.
There are another 5 days to catch Masquerade at Liverpool’s Royal Court (ends 10 August), a play about Liverpool’s famous gay club, set in the 1980s.
Missed marching at Pride? Want to do it all again? Chester Pride is on Saturday 10 August and we’re taking a trip on the Merseyrail to wave the rainbow flag with our queer neighbours. Wanna come out with us?
The incomparable Gary “Dollman” Sollars is back on 23 August for another off-the-wall evening of funky tunes and fun. There will even be toast. Yes toast. With butter. You’ve got to see it to believe it!
Come chill with your queer fam at Queer Fridays on 9 August. Make a big night of it and head to EAT ME Presents Christeene afterwards. Plus join us for a summer party at our latest Queer Hub on Sunday 18 August.
Rounding off another busy month, we’ll be releasing tickets for our next LGBTQ+ storytelling event ‘Telling Tales’ very soon. Save the date: Friday 30 August.
