Liverpool Roller Birds Presents…
Have you been looking for a new challenge but have no idea what to do? Want to be part of an increasingly popular and inclusive sport? Then why don’t you give Roller Derby a try with the Liverpool Roller Birds!
In a nutshell, Roller Derby is a physical contact sport, made up of 2 teams competing against each other and is played on skates.
Have no idea what Roller Derby involves? We will tell you what you need to know, give you ideas of how to learn more and you will get to see it played live on the day!
Never skated before? We will teach you how as we offer an 18-week training programme for skaters, open to all women including transgender and intersex women, as well as gender expansive participants aged 18+.
Want to skate, but don’t want to do the ‘contact’ part? Come and join us as a referee, who are vitally important to the sport. This is open to all women, men, transgender, intersex and gender expansive people aged 18 and over.
Don’t want to skate, but very much want to get involved? Then join us as a Non-Skating Official (NSO), and like the referees, NSOs are just as vital in keeping things running smoothly. This is also open to all women, men, transgender, intersex and gender expansive people aged 18 and over.
Or maybe you’re looking for a new sport and team to support and watch on game days? Well we would love to see you too!
So if you are even a little bit intrigued, why don’t you come down and join us on our open day, meet some of our skaters and see just how exciting Roller Derby is.
