OUTPUT is hosting a new reading and writing group by Helena Geilinger. Please find details below:
RE:WRITE is a reading and writing group focusing on texts by women artists and philosophers from the last five years. The pieces are recent, relevant and aim to give a voice to those that have been largely left out of contemporary conversations around aesthetics.
Meeting every two weeks, starting 9/1/19, 7-8:30pm. One text a month. The first session will be a critical discussion. You are then invited to write a response to the text and ideas raised. The second session allows the group to share and give feedback on each other's written work.
Dates: Jan 9, Jan 23, Feb 6, Feb 20, March 6
The aim is to help you develop critical thinking and writing. And to discover and engage with new texts that ground the philosophical framework of aesthetics in active, real-life ideas and contemporary debates.
To apply, email firstname.lastname@example.org saying why you would like to take part. Limited spaces available.
